Q: How to choose the right type of air conditioner unit for my home or office?
A: There are a few criteria you need to consider when selecting the right air conditioner for your home or office.
1) The size of the area that you need to cool.
2) Calculate the cooling capacity that you will require for the selected areas.
3) Determine the specifics of air conditioners (brands, savings, etc) you want.

Q: How to calculate the cooling capacity required for a room?
A: You can use this formula to do a quick estimated calculation: Area (Length x Width) X 65 = BTU/hr.

 

Q: Which air conditioner brand do you recommend?
A: We do not recommend any particular brand as most of the air conditioners in the market have similar functions and features. Also, all brands have a few good models in the market for consumers to choose from.

 

Q: How long is the installation process?
A: It will depend on the property type. For HDB flats, it will normally take a full day for the installation process. For all other property types, it will depends on a case by case basis. If you have any questions as regard to your installation process and time required, feel free to contact us.

 

Q: How long is the servicing process?
A: For normal servicing, it is approximately 15 to 20 minutes per unit.

 

Q: How often should I service my air conditioner?
A: It is recommended to service residential air conditioner units every 2 to 3 months. For office or commercial air conditioner units, it is best to service them every month.

 

Q: Why is my air conditioner leaking?
A: It could be due to the drainage pipe being chocked with dirty particles or improper installation by your contractor resulting in improper gradient of your drainage pipe.

 

Q: Why is my air conditioner not cold?
A: There are many reasons why your air conditioner is not cold.
1) Air filter and blower is clogged with dirt and dust particles.
2) Air conditioner temperature is set incorrectly.
3) Air conditioner refrigerant need topping up.
4) Fan motor is clogged with dust.
5) Undersized air conditioner unit being used.

 

Q: Why is my air conditioner noisy?
A: Some parts may be faulty and need to be replaced or the blower and fan coil may be dirty.

 

Q: Can I service my air conditioner myself?
A: Yes, you can do some basic aircon servicing yourself such as cleaning the fan coil and washing the air filters. However, it is advisable to engage qualified professionals to service and check your air conditioner.
